    My Lucky

    Lucky Oct. 96 - May 08

I lost my buddy back in May this year and really wanted to make this for him. My Lucky meant alot to me and was very faithful to me , I just want to share him with the world and To show  my love for him was just as much as his for me.

Lucky came to me when I was a messed up teenager living on my own and I swear he was my angel saving me from myself.  He gave me responsiblity, calmed me from my anger that I had back then, and he loved me which is enough said by just that, since I did not love myself back then.  When I had my children he loved them too and shared his love around with my husband, friends, and people just in passing.  He helped me in my daycare with children by playing with them and looking out for them.  I remember once not long ago when I had a young girl who was wanting into the kitchen and Lucky blocked her when I was cooking. He didn't growl but just stood in the door way.  He was like that with my kids all the time, loving them and watching out for them.  I just know that he is in heaven still watching over us from there. He was a good dog and loved everyone!  I will miss him so much but know we each have a time. If people ask me if I really believe if animals go to heaven? , well.... If animals share this life with us in God's plan, I think that God also means for us to share the same heaven too.  This is just my belief but it is what I do strongly have faith in.

Thank you Lucky for loving me and letting us love you too, We will really miss you!

    OXOXOX

    2007

Christmas came and went , Way to fast too. Where does time go? We are now starting to plan our Disney trip and we are so excited too.
Every year we try and plan to travel some where new and explore as much as possible. Last year was North and South Dakota and seen managed to hit alot of places while there. The year before that was Alberta, from Calgary to Edmonton was stay in alot of places there and took in what they had to offer too. I think each place has their own thing that makes them special and interesting , I can't wait for California though, next year I think we will have to go to Mexico. It seems like everyone has been to Mexico but us and it is on my list right after seeing my favourite mouse. Well Not much is new lately and I noticed I haven't put anything in here forever. It seems I can never find time for myself anymore. I try to hold on to the moments of life and they just seem to slip from me and time just goes, Kids grow, Birthdays come and go, Season change and another year is gone, really that is sad.
Well anyway here is some funny videos I found and they are classics. There is nothing like a good laugh, so here you go.....

This is a site that I think is making a difference and wanted to make sure that I could get more people aware that this site is around. It is a cat cam that is set up to see cats that are homeless and in need of homes. There is a day cam for the house cats that have been rescued and one at night for the cats that need homes. Please take a moment to look and if you know anyone who wants a cat this maybe this is what you might want to consider. Just click the links to check it out.

    We did it!!!!!!!!!!1

Woo hoo, we finally did it, We got married. What a stressful thing too, lots of work for one day. The day is worth it but before all that I was ready to rip my hair out. Well we got through that and life is back to normal again. We went on a honeymoon to N.D during biker week , It was fun and had family there too on vacation. Well I guess that is all I have to say for now.
Has anyone checked out yahoo's anwer and question spot? It is kinda fun. I seen it on tv in a commercial and had to see for myself, it is worth checking it out especially if you are into debates. Anyway I will try to put up more blogs in the future, I just can never seem to find the time though.

    Animals and vet cost

Well I just got my 3 cats fixed and what a shock it was to see the increase in cost. I payed $130.00 a cat to have them spayed.  About 10 years ago I payed $45.00, what a jump in price!!! I cannot belive that the government no longer has plans for getting your cat fixed, especially when the cat and dog population is so high.  In Saskatchewan there used to be plans for us that helped with the costs of animals to bring down the problem but it seems they are more concerned with putting them down than helping with the problem. I heard not long ago from someone that they found a dead dog on the street and the humian society told them there was a fee for taking the animal to cremate the animal. Another person told me they found a animal that was in need of being put down and again there was a fee assocated with that too. I know that the government does not have anything to do with the animal shelters but these are problems for people who just want to do the right thing in general. Many people cannot afford to fix their animal right away and the animal is free to make litters over litters. Really I don't see this as their fault, everyone deserves a animal if their intention is to love the animal and care for it.  My cousin took in a cat that was treated unkindly and she cannot afford to have the animal spayed, but without her that cats fate is sealed. If only there was more help out there for people who even needed to get their animal expensive surgery, again there is private plans but you must have known about this plan before you animal was a certain age.  This is so sad that many vets do not even accompany people with payment options that would help them to get the help for their animal rather than leaving the next option of euthization.  Most vets will offer payment options by month but only if it is an emergency case. My vet offered me monthly payment options and was helpful with taking calls about my animals without charging me for the call like some vets do. You figure if this is their profession they should be a little more compassionate for the animals and the concerned owners who in end just want to do the right thing.  Heck even take my credit card number for insurance encase you feel I won't pay the fees. (SIGH) Unfortunatly the problem with only become worse over time and so many animals will be on the other end of the stick to get the garbage that comes with it. More and more you hear animals dumped on farms or kittens or puppies in garbages, not to meantion the overwhemling amount of animals at the shelters that will never see day again. This is really sad.     This is my rant....

    Religion

I thought I would add something to this that I really never touched yet... Religion.
I have not had God in my life as much as I really should and forget to make time for him. I read this artical and it really got me thinking and maybe it will for you too, I don't know.  I make alot a mistakes that maybe isn't very christain of me but I do try in my life. This really made me think, am I trying like I think I am? It also touched home with me of where the world is going are we at the end of times? I bet centries ago they said the same thing everytime something happened. Well you wrestle with it in your minds and please feel free to give me feedback if you want. Please go to the side where the lists are to: Question of faith.

I really don't like writting bummed out blogs, but.....
In a month and a half me and my hubby are getting married and well as the invites went out I felt I was missing someone. It was my friend. He was our bestfriend who we grew up with. He has been gone awhile now but sure wish he was alive today. We was the one who got us together, convincing us that we should be together and put aside that we were close friends. He said to me once "If you are bestfriend with someone of the oppsite sex and have the attaction, you can bet it will be a long life friend whom you can also love in a intimate way. It is a perfect fit and don't fight it." . He was right and now that we are tieing the knot I really can't help but to think of his words of advice that got us here today. We have two wonder children now and a life that is owed to those words. When you are young it is hard to see things for what they should be and he did. I don't think we could have made it past being anything more than friends without his push from both ends. Who knows why he did it but it worked. Thanks Chris.

               The Good Wife's Guide

*Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

*Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

*Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

*Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives.

    * Gather up school books, toys, paper, etc and run a dustcloth over the tables.

*During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

*Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

    *Be happy to see him.

*Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

*Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours. Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

*Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

*Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

    * Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

*A good wife always knows her place.

    In a pickle

                                        In a pickle

Well we are getting married in a month in a half and my handsome groom to be, he has lost our contract for the hall. Just to let you in on what this little paper means, well the owners sold the hotel about 6 months ago , so they made up written contracts with everyone who booked at the hall for functions. The new owners agreed to honoring the contracts and everything was all good for everyone. Well, (big sigh) we had our meeting with the place and to our suprise the prices went up by alot!!!!!!!!!!! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
We are in a town and to expect a bunch of money for their hall when the city would be cheaper at most places, this doesn't make sense. Well thinking we had this contract at home we voiced what we had to say about the prices and the new managers promise to keep the prices the same as it was given to us before. They want the contract though and my honey lost it somewhere. My house has been ripped apart and nothing has been left unturned. who knows what happened to it!!!!!!!!!!
The part I don't get is that they had copies of this and now they say they don't . When we asked the old owners (friends of ours) they said that is not true , they do have it . 6 months ago would have been nice to know that they were changing prices and had this meeting than. In towns the gossip flies and we found out we are not the only ones in town. I would really be suprised if they get anyone to book anything there again. Heck, we had a free event to support our town fire department and they would not even help out with that , not at all!!!!  We hold it at their  hotel parking lot , so far every year. This brings in people to the town from Saskatchewan, helps businesses, and gets the communities together. Because of  the fact they do not donate and charge the town for this event now, it will be something that may be taken from the town and the fire departments from everywhere. Sad, really sad! I don't know , everyone needs to make a buck, I realize this. But, this is far beyond a buck, it is just selfish in my opinion. We as a town count on our businesses to help with the growth of the town and making sure the town does not die , like so many have. I just don't know. I am so upset and I know that. In the end this is our fault and one we are going to be paying for, what eles can we do really?

    A dog's prayer

                  A Dog's Prayer

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of mine. Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do. Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps fall upon my waiting ear. When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though you had no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshipper. Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger. And, beloved master, should the great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest - and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands. A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?" Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us." And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves." And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal." And God said, "No problem. Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG." And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them. And they were comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail. After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well." And God said, "No problem! I will create for them a companion who will be with them forever and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration." And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve. And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings. And Adam and Eve learned humility. And they were greatly improved. And God was pleased. And Dog was happy. And Cat didn't give a shit one way or the other.

Happy Father's day , for my dad.

                                 Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

My father has given me so much to carry into adulthood , that I will carry with me for all my life.  I remember his large strong hands that would cover my little hands. So warm and loving, leading the way and protecting me from harm around us.  His monster hugs that made me giggle as a young girl and bought happiness in my heart that I keep with me in times I need one.  His voice strong, and yet loving. His words of wisdom of things he learned, these were never left unheard but sometimes tested just to be sure he was right. I carry his words  in my heart and what I have learned from him in my head and pass on his words to my children so they to may be blessed with these loving , guiding words in their lives. I have so many memories, of holidays, family times, they are never ending.  He is the first man I have known, first man I loved, and will be the first man I think of when I think of when I think of my childhood. THANK YOU DAD.

    Mother's journey

    The Journey Of A Mother

For those who are fortunate enough to still be blessed by having your Mom with you, this is beautiful...For those who aren't... it is even more beautiful. It takes my breath! The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning." But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them, and taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike and reminded them to feed the dog, and do their homework and brush their teeth. The sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this." Then the nights came, and the storms, and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms, and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come." And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, "A little patience and we are there." So the children climbed, and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms. And with this, she gave them strength to face the world. Year after year, she showed them compassion, understanding, hope, but most of all...unconditional love. And when they reached the top they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you." The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years, and the mother grew old and she became little and bent. But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage. And the mother, when she lay down at night, looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned so much and are now passing these traits on to their children." And when the way became rough for her, they lifted her, and gave her their strength, just as she had given them hers. One day they came to a hill, and beyond the hill, they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And mother said: "I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk with dignity and pride, with their heads held high, and so can their children after them. And the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates." And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her. And they said: "We cannot see her, but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence." Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore, she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop. A mother shows every emotion .happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow... and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take.

She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space...not even death! PASS THIS ON TO ALL THE MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS AND SONS YOU KNOW.... MAY WE NEVER TAKE OUR MOTHERS FOR GRANTED. "The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched they must be felt with the heart." ~Helen Keller~
