Lucky Oct. 96 - May 08

I lost my buddy back in May this year and really wanted to make this for him. My Lucky meant alot to me and was very faithful to me , I just want to share him with the world and To show  my love for him was just as much as his for me.

Lucky came to me when I was a messed up teenager living on my own and I swear he was my angel saving me from myself.  He gave me responsiblity, calmed me from my anger that I had back then, and he loved me which is enough said by just that, since I did not love myself back then.  When I had my children he loved them too and shared his love around with my husband, friends, and people just in passing.  He helped me in my daycare with children by playing with them and looking out for them.  I remember once not long ago when I had a young girl who was wanting into the kitchen and Lucky blocked her when I was cooking. He didn't growl but just stood in the door way.  He was like that with my kids all the time, loving them and watching out for them.  I just know that he is in heaven still watching over us from there. He was a good dog and loved everyone!  I will miss him so much but know we each have a time. If people ask me if I really believe if animals go to heaven? , well.... If animals share this life with us in God's plan, I think that God also means for us to share the same heaven too.  This is just my belief but it is what I do strongly have faith in.

Thank you Lucky for loving me and letting us love you too, We will really miss you!

           The Good Wife's Guide

*Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

*Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

*Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

*Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives.

* Gather up school books, toys, paper, etc and run a dustcloth over the tables.

*During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

*Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

*Be happy to see him.

*Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

*Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours. Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

*Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

*Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

* Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

*A good wife always knows her place.

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?" Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. My father has given me so much to carry into adulthood , that I will carry with me for all my life.  I remember his large strong hands that would cover my little hands. So warm and loving, leading the way and protecting me from harm around us.  His monster hugs that made me giggle as a young girl and bought happiness in my heart that I keep with me in times I need one.  His voice strong, and yet loving. His words of wisdom of things he learned, these were never left unheard but sometimes tested just to be sure he was right. I carry his words  in my heart and what I have learned from him in my head and pass on his words to my children so they to may be blessed with these loving , guiding words in their lives. I have so many memories, of holidays, family times, they are never ending.  He is the first man I have known, first man I loved, and will be the first man I think of when I think of when I think of my childhood. The Journey Of A Mother

 For those who are fortunate enough to still be blessed by having your Mom with you, this is beautiful...For those who aren't... it is even more beautiful. It takes my breath! The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning." But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them, and taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike and reminded them to feed the dog, and do their homework and brush their teeth. The sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this." Then the nights came, and the storms, and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms, and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come." And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, "A little patience and we are there." So the children climbed, and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms. And with this, she gave them strength to face the world. Thought I would share mine.

Last year I finally got the sleep I was needing so bad, I slept till 10 am. When I got up I felt uck. I thought a bath would do the trick, for not only cooling down from the heat, which it was hot out that day, but to feel more awake. I got undressed waited at the side of the tub for it to fill. I couldn't help but to feel like I was not alone. Then I heard men's voices, lots of voices. Directly from my bathroom window, on the roof was about 5 guys on their coffee break from shingling the neighbours roof! OMG, they were right in eyes view of seeing in to my bathroom and there was no hiding because there is a large mirror in there that I sure gave them perfect view of me. I never ran so fast from the bathroom so fast. I tried to cover with a towel but the towel fell and wouldn't you know it the windows in the living room where open and my other neighbour on the other side was out in his yard. Never again will I go into the bathroom without checking the roof again. It is only a small window but I know all of them got a good look, damn it. I didn't leave the house until they were done the job, which was about a week. As for my neighbour, well, I had to get over it. I can't stay in forever. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and move on with things and hope they forget. My boyfriend never will I know that, he still bugs me about it. I will never live it down.

1. NAMES If Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara go out for lunch, they will call each other Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara. If Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Scrappy.

2. EATING OUT When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in $20, even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back. When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

3. MONEY A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.

4. BATHROOMS A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Marriott. The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

5. ARGUMENTS A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

6. CATS Women love cats. Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

7. FUTURE A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

8. SUCCESS A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

13. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

                          Woman's dictionary

1. "Fine" This is the word women use at the end of any argument when they feel they are right but can't stand to hear you argue any longer. It means that you should shut up. (NEVER use "fine" to describe how she looks. This will cause you to have one of those arguments.)

2. "Five minutes" This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so women feel that it's an even trade.

3. "Nothing" Nothing" means something and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with the word "Fine."

4. "Go Ahead" (with raised eyebrows) This is NOT permission; it's a dare! If you mistake it for permission, the result will be the woman will get upset over "Nothing" and you'll have a "five-minute" discussion that will end with the word "Fine."

5. "Go Ahead" (normal eyebrows) This is NOT permission, either. It means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care." You will get a raised eyebrow "Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

6. "Loud Sigh" This is not actually a word, but is still often a verbal statement. Very frequently misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are a complete idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing!."

7. "Soft Sigh" Again, not a word, but a verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" are one of the few things that some men actually understand. It means she is momentarily content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe in the hope that the moment will last a bit longer.

8. "Oh" This word -- followed by any statement - is trouble. Example; "Oh, let me get that". Or, "Oh, I talked to him about what you were doing last night." If she says "Oh" before a statement, run, do not walk, to the nearest exit. She will tell you that she is "Fine" when she is done tossing your clothes out the window, but do not expect her to talk to you for at least two days. ("Oh" as the lead to a sentence usually signifies that you are caught in a lie). Do not try to lie more to get out of it, or you will get a raised eyebrow "Go ahead," sometimes followed by acts so unspeakable that I can't bring myself to write about them.

9. "That's Okay" This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding what the penalty will be for whatever you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a raised eyebrow "Go Ahead." Once she has had time to plan it out, you are in for some mighty big trouble.

 10. "Please Do" This is not a statement, it is an offer. The woman is giving you the chance to come up with an excuse for what you have done. In other words, a chance to get yourself into even more trouble. If you handle this correctly, you shouldn't get a "That's Okay."

11. "Thanks" The woman is thanking you. Don't faint and don't look for hidden meaning. Just say "you're welcome."

12. "Thanks A Lot" "Thanks A Lot" is dramatically different from "Thanks." A woman will say "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It is usually followed by the "Loud Sigh." This signifies that you have hurt her in some callous way. Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing".

Thought I would add this. This is a great way to look back on toys, shows, and games from the 90's all the way back to the 20's. Boy, have we come a long way from then. Cannot believe any kid now these days say they are bord, with their advanced games systems and cool toys.
